Marine spray booths

Hulls and superstructures are too large to move to a booth. This range builds the spray environment around the vessel, indoors or out, then retracts or folds away so the yard gets its space back.

Built for the boat yard

Boats are large and hard to move, so the MASTRE-FLEX is built around them. Pull the booth around the vessel, spray, then fold it away: each 1950mm module retracts to just 300mm, freeing around 85% of the floor. Internal and external designs are available, with materials specified for weather exposure.

Sunseeker International asked us for a designated preparation and spray area in Portland, with the correct airflow and extraction and the option to fold it away when not in use. We supplied two MASTRE-FLEX booths side by side, one for preparation with a dust collector and vacuum system, and one for painting with a dry filter plenum. Each is 10.5 metres long, 7 wide and 3.5 high, and retracts to just 2.5 metres.

Marine spray booths: common questions

Yes. The MASTRE-FLEX and ROLARE-FLEX both come in internal and external designs, with materials specified for weather exposure.

Any size. Length scales in 1950mm modules, with width and height built around your vessels and your building. The two booths supplied to Sunseeker are each 10.5 metres long, 7 wide and 3.5 high.

Yes. Sunseeker’s installation was set up exactly that way: two MASTRE-FLEX booths side by side, a preparation booth with a dust collector and vacuum system, and a painting booth with a dry filter plenum.

Dry filter suits most workloads, with lower running costs and simpler maintenance. Water wash suits continuous, high volume spraying. We recommend a configuration based on your throughput and coatings.

For spraying you need extraction. Pair it with the MOBE-X as the ROLARE-FLEX + MOBE-X system, which gives two stage filtration at 99% efficiency with the exhaust ducted out through a 20 metre hose.
